There seemed to be a few time line errors and misscommunications. In the earlier chapter, the scene where bill asks if they heard of horcruxes (or something like that) harry and hermione both reply no, but then seconds later harry confirms they do know of them by mentioning getting the slughorn memory, so that seemed odd.
The bigger issue was, bertha jorkins went missing between 3rd and 4th year, she's how LV learned of barty crouch jr. and the tri-wizard. Here you have her being involved before harry's 1st year.
