Review for Never Coming Home

Never Coming Home

Whoa.
WHOA.
These dreams are so VISUAL.
I can feel their pain. Fear.
It oddly satisfies me.
The only things I don't understand, though, are,
Alicia: Is "The Mother" a Sandman reference? If not, what do you mean?
Gerard: Why is Frank referred to as a child?
Frank: When Frank says he's forced to relive the pain every night, is he saying he's too scared to tell Gerard about Billie Poe, and that when they make love, he's in painful anguish?
Sorry for being annoyingly introspective. I'll leave you alone forever now.

Author's response

"The Mother" probably refers to a painful and/or traumatizing experience she had with her mother. They're probably not on the best of terms.
Frank is referred to as a child because Gerard feels the need to protect him, like a father would do with his child.
And, as far as Frank is concerned, he relives the pain every night through flashbacks and nightmares, as most people suffering from PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) do.
Hope this helped, and did I ever mention you're adorable?
