Slowly Twisting

Hey,

So I was sent here by Delcat, who's been busy pimping Cid/Vincent to me every since I remarked about one of the stories in GAFF. I was asking her for good stories, and I ended up here.

My knowledge of Cid and Vincent is somewhat sketchy, as I've never played the game, but the way you're writing him is very close to what I've imagined him as being; someone who's going through hell and is so insular and used to being alone, the idea of asking somebody for help would honestly never occur to him. He's an ex-Turk, and the Turk coda is that you get the job done by any means possible. Mix that with the torture Hojo subjected him to, and you've got one seriously fucked-up Vince, who still, I think, blames himself for what happened to Lucretia, and for not stopping Sepheroth, but he was hardly in a position to do so, what with Hojo injecting him with God knows what and putting him in stasis for 30 years.

I'm looking forward to the next chapter. Far too many authors write Vincent as a wangsty emotional mess, which I can't see. He has too much pride to ever grovel and ask for help (though I did like the one-sided argument between him and Tifa about the mousetraps), which may be the death of him.

Keep up the good work.
