Well, that was an interesting "learning experience" for Viktor, methinks he now has lots to think about on a number of subjects. I do like how Neville took over protecting the younger students, I can see them helping bring out his true personality and ability. The banterage at the end was quite enjoyable and amusing; it could lead to some interesting "play" in a few years.
Hermione's musings at the start of the chapter were nicely done and I can appreciate her thoughts. That song does seem rather appropriate for her thoughts about Harry and he does fill the bill, not from desire to put himself forward but simply because he can't simply walk away when things need doing.
