I was seriously shaking when I read his pain, I've never considered myself a squeamish person but maybe I stand corrected after reading that, it was so upsetting to read him go through all that.

I'm so, so happy you liked (even though "like" probably isn't the right word right now, let's say you were involved) this chapter. It's one of the hardest ones I've ever written, and I wasn't so sure the whole "Ray situation" would've been accepted well. But I guess it did! :)
