Review for Fixing the Un-Fixable

Fixing the Un-Fixable

It's always nice to be met with something as lovely as this, especially when I haven't had much time to myself this weekend. My social studies project has stolen all my time this week. So yeah. I really like that last line. It's funny and I can kinda imagine Frank doing that and his tongue is sticking out curiously. Is that weird? Anyway, I really like how Gerard wants to blame Frank for everything because Gerard wants nothing more than to be a good older brother, but he's already messed that up. And when Mikey's tells Gerard he loves him and then cries about Frank not loving him, it's like Gerard can't be hurt that his love isn't enough because he has to go beat Frank until Frank's begging him to stop. When will Gerard learn to think things through? He only end up hurting Mikey more when he hurts Frank. Also, I really like that part of the story when Gerard's thinking about how Frank chose such an inappropriate time to kiss Mikey, but always goes back to blaming himself. This story is so amazing and I really can't get enough of it. I'll be waiting for more. Also, is Mikey younger than Frank? He just kinda seems like that, so I imagine it that way. He doesn't seem too much younger, but younger all the same.

Author's response

Firstly, thank you very much for reviewing - your reviews are always a pleasure to read and I can't convey how much they motivate me! Secondly, it's not weird to imagine it like that, that's kinda how I imagined it too! :) Thirdly, I'm glad that you understood what I was getting at with the whole he-wants-to-blame-Frank-but-he-blames-himself thing, I wasn't sure if I did a decent job at that. And finally, I wrote it as though Gerard is the oldest (perhaps seventeen), Frank as a year or so younger and Mikey as around fourteen. I know that if I was doing it properly, Frank would be the youngest, but I felt that it worked better like that so I hope that you'll forgive me! Thank you very much for taking the time to read and review - I'm glad that you liked it! :)
