i don't supprt the things you're saying about mcr being an emo scheme (because they certainly aren't now, i don't know what they are, i don't think gerard knows what they are now, much less himself), but i have to agree with one things: my chemical romance totally sold out for fame.
i watched mcr from bullets to now. the raw energy is gone. i JUST watched the yo gabba gabba episode. i get what gee might be trying to do, but it's not HIM. i've lost interest in mcr. i can't write about them anymore. i'll never claim mcr saved my life, but i was massively inspired by mcr. for a nearly ten years, mcr was a big chunk of my life. i'm disappointed in mcr because there hadn't been an original american musical act in so LONG. with such a strong fanbase. the fanbase is terrible now. it's a bunch of very violent, hormonal pre-teen girls. and now, apparently two year olds.
