Ugh!!! I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to press submit and I bet you're probably annoyed already, but I have to finish my previous review. As I was saying, I really liked how Gerard had to blame both Mikey
Yes, he loves Mikey, but how could Mikey even think about wanting to die? Clearly Gerard didn't do his job right. He didn't get it across that he loved Mikey, that the only reason he was alive is because Mikey is alive, that all the bad things people say about him were the complete opposite of the truth, but it was Mikey that didn't tell him what people said to make him so insecure and it was Mikey that didn't talk to Gerard when things got tough. That was such an interesting part and you get a further understanding of what Gerard feels about the while situation. Also, when Gerard was saying that if he just went with what he was thinking of doing before then all of that mess would've been avoided. He knew he should've been a brother. The brother before everything went up into flames, but he was convinced that Mikey needed a parent, that a parent was the best thing for him, and of course Gerard would give Mikey the best. All those people that told him Mikey needed a parent. It was their fault that Mikey was in the hospital. This part was interesting too because the reader never really sees why Gerard decided to act as a parent figure, but now you see why and all of this could've been easily avoided if Gerard just followed his heart. I also really liked the part when Frank just walked out of the door. I would be disgusted if i was Gerard too. That was a stupid move, but he couldn't have done anything else. Only he and Mikey know what happened when Mikey left school, and he didn't just leave so Gerard wouldn't know, he also left so Mikey wouldn't be so uncomfortable. Just walking straight out was stupid because he'd make Mikey believe that he hated him or something, but when Gerard was yelling at him and yelling how could you do that, he probably believed Gerard hated him too. There's a lot going on, but it's not in confusing and it's not a bad thing. Each part was so well written and beautiful and there was so much emotion in this chapter. I'll be waiting for the next part.

Author's response

Don't worry about it and don't ever think that you're annoying; if anything I feel blessed that you've taken the time to write a third review after leaving two lovely, detailed reviews previously. It couldn't be less annoying if it tried; I can assure you that it's quite the opposite! :)
Your interpritation of this chapter, as always, is spot on. I always love reading your take on things; it seems to help me think the story through and even opens up new possibilities as to what I could do next. So thanks for including your interpritation; it's really refreshing and helpful to hear what you think about the events of the chapter!
I'm really pleased that you liked it; I know that the chapters are getting a little shorter lately, so I wad kinda worried that they had gotten worse in both quality and quantity, so it's a real relief to know that you liked it!
Thank so very much for taking the time to leave such a detailed review, I know I say this every time, but please know that I really do mean it; thank you very much! :)
