Most entertaining. I recall reading this story ages ago, and I'm glad i clicked it up today.
I really like how you've managed to merge the mythos, and it feels very plausible. I appreciate that he finished seventh, not first, and i appreciate that not everything goes smoothly for him and that his wife tells him off occasionaly. He does deserve it.
Flamewise, there's not much to improve since my knowledge of TOS-era starfleet is less than encyclopedic. The Malfoy angle was a great idea. I'm getting all sorts of ideas here, and i eagerly await your next installment.
