After Hannah mentioned the possibility of having them Obliviated, the only correct response from Harry would have been anger. Though I suppose he was still in a bit of shock, and so would not necessarily been thinking too clearly. I can imagine him responding with a threat. "Perhaps you should do some research first. Find out what happened to Lockhart when he tried that. And before you mention it, Lockhart was very good with Memory Charms. The only thing he was good at." Or something like that. Of course the legend of Harry Potter would grow after they learned what happened to Lockhart.
