There really is no need to apologize! The ending was fabulous and it really is no big deal that you ended it this way. And at least you officially ended it. That is always better than no ending at all. Anyway, I really liked that this was in Gerard's point of view. It was really interesting to see what Gerard thought of everything that happened and how he really can tell that Mikey is much more important to Frank than what others think of him. I also really liked that Frank showed them that they can't hurt the person he's in love with and get away with it. And that he wasn't afraid to show them that he loves Mikey. That kiss was absolutely adorable! And also, the boy with the longing eyes! He probably sees how in love with each other they are and wishes he could have that too. I also liked that Frank was so busy in teaching Liam his lesson that he forgot to make sure Mikey was okay. But then he does and Mikey is almost instantly okay. And don't worry about leaving us with unanswered stuff. You answered the major questions and we can create a little fantasy of our own for all the little stuff. This was very sweet and I loved that Mikey initiated a kiss. And now they are boyfriends!!! That whole scene was so cute and romantic! I like sad stories and all that stuff, but I'm a real sucker for those cute, romance stories and scenes. Anyway, the title really fits the chapter. Frank is finally starting to see the light about accepting who you are even if others can't, and Gerard is going into the light because he doesn't need to stay when he fully knows Frank is capable of taking care of and Mikey is truly happy and in love and that a really good person loves him back. He was probably only a ghost to look after Mikey, but now Frank can take care of him and he can let go because he knows that Mikey is loved.
I feel kind of bad because I've read all the chapters but I haven't reviewed each one and told you how awesome they all are. But I can now. I can't even express how much I liked this. It really was beautiful and magnificent and was the perfect way to end this story. This story was very original and it was really fun to read. It was very emotional and vivid. Wonderful job!!!

Author's response
Thank you so, soooo, soooooooo very much: I'm really glad that you think the ending was alright!
Originally I started writing this in Mikey's point of view, but then I couldn't think of how to put it and I wanted to show that things worked out for Gerard too (despite the fact that he's dead) so I wrote it in Gerard's view point instead.
I'm really pleased that you found the kiss adorable, I was kinda worried about it seeming out of place or whatever, so to know that you thought it was adorable is really nice. I was hoping that someone would pick up on the boy with the longing eyes; you've interpreted him perfectly with regards to the fact that I wanted it to seem like he longs to be able to have what Frank has managed to find.
I'm glad that you got the double meaning of the chapter title; the first being the literal light that some people believe we go into when we die and the second being that both Frank and Mikey are starting to see the light of a better future.
Please don't feel bad about not reviewing, when you do review I love it because you always give me something to really think about and that more than makes up for anything that you haven't reviewed.
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave such an intricately detailed and kind review, it really does mean a lot! :)
