I agree, the writing isn't exactly what broader audiences are looking for, and I did almost quit during the first couple of chapters, but I continued because what you presented plot-wise was actually really intriguing. I like that the same events have occurred in both Holly's life and Harry's "original" life, but Holly is handling them much differently from how Harry had. More... intelligently I believe. While at first it had seemed a bit odd, now that I understand Holly's character a bit better, I don't feel that it is out of character as much as I had before. I actually think that I might be able to get along with Holly quite nicely had she been a real person.
I also enjoy the relationship that you have between Holly and Hermione. It's a close sisterhood, but you can also see something more behind there. I wish that Ron was more involved, but honestly between these two girls, they've got chiz covered. They are both intelligent, capable, and where one might lose focus, the other has her back. Who needs a trio when you have a pair dynamic like H2 (H-squared in case that didn't come out straight)
