Poor Mikey, just as everything was kinda starting to get better for him Frank and Gerard put themselves in a stupid position. One that might just mean a little more than Frank was making it out to. This chapter was great because it really gave us a sense of just how hopeless Mikey is now; he finds trust extremely difficult and the two people he trusts/loves most in the world have seemingly just betrayed him, something that is bound to have serious repercussions on him both mentally and emotionally. I liked the way that Frank and Gerard were trying to run after him, it shows that they really do care and feel guilty about it, something that I'm sure we'll see a lot more of later on. It was really adorable to read his phone-call to Pete, it made it clear that he trusts him and that Pete really just wants to help; but with Mikey being the way he is right now, I can't help but worry that Pete might manage to make things worse, especially with his little crush on Mikey. I just hope Mikey's alright after nearly collapsing against the Chinese!
Great job and I literally can't wait for more! :D
Author's response
Yes, every single thing has crashed for Mikey. Frank and Gerard have definitely ruined things now without meaning to. I'm really happy that you see how trust is a real issue with Mikey right now, since Gerard and Frank betrayed him. This was a point I really wanted to convey. It will really effect Mikey in every way possible. I'm also glad that you can see that Gerard and Frank care by going after him. Pete really wants to help Mikey right now, but yet, saying that, things could turn out even worse. We'll see! Thank you so much for reading and leaving these really nice reviews. It makes you awesome and me smile! :)
