I do that all the time. xD Whenever I have a gay couple and I want them to have kids, I usually use a cheat to change the gender of one of the guys or girls. They WooHoo, pregnancy happens, kids are born, and then I change the gender back to what it was before. Insta-Frerard babies! :D
