Fairly in-character for all concerned, although I would think Vernon and Petunia would be more concerned about the house ownership. Also a bit out of character for Dumbledore NOT to have read the letter; and if he did, then he would know about the change of secret keepers. It will be interesting to see where you take this next.

Thank you! In regards to Vernon and Petunia being worried about the house ownership, they are. It doesn't seem like it because Petunia is emotionally spent at that point in time, and because I've always seem Vernon as somewhat arrogant in his belief that he can make things go his way, as is portrayed earlier when he compared Dumbledore to other businessmen he'd dealt with.
As for Dumbledore not reading the letter, there is going to be further explanation in one of the future chapters. =)
