Gerard? No way...

Well hello there! Where do I start? Well to begin with, your writing is mind blowing. The detail and attention to small things, the wonderful descriptions, it's all really admirable. You create such stunning images and create such amazing visuals for the reader. The story is fast moving, clear and all the characters are portrayed beautifully. You keep the plot moving and I never found myself bored. It's a fresh plot and you have managed to mix fact with fiction so seamlessly that it is extremely believable. It makes it seem more real. Even though the chapters are lengthy, they are never boring. I also realised that a few places, such as the part where you wrote in the third person, called for reading between the lines and was so cleverly done. It seems like you're taking the reader on a ride where we feel all the jerks and falls and highs and lows. The way you bring out the emotion in the characters is really fantastic. The reader feels the same jolts of excitement and sadness. Your use of literary devices is very effective. It’s like an explosion of dreams, colour and fantasy but at the same time never lets go of its strong grip on reality. But what hits me hardest is the overall style of writing. It’s deep, beautiful, strong and impacting. It’s like being hit on the head with rocks but in the best way possible. There were a few grammatical errors I found in the last chapter though. They were small ones where ‘you’re’ was spelt as ‘your’ and one or two spelling mistakes, but they are made to seem negligible due to the sheer brilliance of your writing. On a more personal note, as of this point in the story, I’m not too fond of your main character. It’s nothing to do with your writing style, it’s just the impression she seems to make on me. But of course, time will tell. And that would be another reason to appreciate your work. You have a wonderful mix of past, present and future but still seem to be taking the story steadily forward. Overall I’d really like to congratulate you on this magnificent piece of work. I’m really looking forward to more.

Author's response

I don't even know where to begin. This was all so lovely. Nobody has ever EVER been this kind about my writing before. Thank you so very much.

I'll look for those mistakes and try and fix them at some point tomorrow when I'm not sleep deprived.

And I'm sorry you don't like Bri! But then again, I did ensure to create her with very realistic flaws...so that may very well be it. I have a feeling you'll eventually change your mind, but time will tell!

Cheers to this review! I love it and you. Thanks so much for your ratings and for the time you took to write such a lengthy and beautifully written review.
