Hi! I hope this will not be a rehashing of the game, the second chapter was almost the same. And why does Harry forget about his magic? After all, he is over 17, therefore he can legally use magic.

Well, as mentioned in the fight, he didn't have his wand on him. After all, he'd been basically abducted from bed, and didn't have a chance to grab anything before he was staked. There is another reason which will come up, but you'll have to wait for that...
