I have to wonder where Roger is at this point. The words "at least not alone" draw attention to his absence, but if that's the point, then it's not enough.
The next-to-last paragraph is particularly insightful.
Author\'s Response: It's a long story. Like I said, these are just short vignettes. Also, there are a number of breaks with the cannon, mostly because I started writing this a long time before I read the book on RENT. Things like where they went to college and how Roger started using drugs are deviations. Thanks for taking the time to read, though.
