The story is really becoming quite interesting and innovative. Well done.
The one thing that automatically came to my mind during the discussion are Horcrux. A horcrux is a part of a soul; so would it be possible to create a rift between the two Harry's and move one into a horcrux - and then put that part into an animated body?
