So, I´ve been thinking (how did you ever do THAT to me?) that maybe since Pete is a vampire he´s got the powers to read other people´s minds. Or at least kinda listen-in on some of them. That would make the 1st person narrator + 3rd person character´s thoughts thing somehwat "realistic".
Of course, this is not a good idea if you don´t really want Pete to know what she´s thinking for reasons of plot development (falling in love with each other, etc.).
Just a thought that I thought I might share with you. Because there are no regulations on this site with regard to what kind of crap I can actually type on here. Ha.

Wow, the fact that my story made someone really think about something has knocked me off my feet. I didn't know that anything I would ever write would have that power. I am simply amazed. You do have a great point there. I'll definitely think on it for awhile.
