I'm glad you're working on your writer's block, and I'm glad you're not leaving. Well, at least not completely. You are, but not really. I think? I'm a bit befuddled by all this.
But yeah, if I can give you some advice with writer's block, I'd say you shouldn't force yourself too much. It will make writing seem like work, and that sucks all the fun out of it. Work isn't fun. Unless you get to play with kittens and puppies, you sonofabitchthatshowjealousiamofyourightnow. But yep, what always works for me is writing something completely different from what I'm used to, and not take it too seriously. Like you said yourself, keep it simple. Don't try to juggle twenty characters all at once; if I did that, I would be so put off by it that I wouldn't want to write either. I don't understand how you people manage to keep track of all those characters running around in a single story.
Have fun at your job thing, though. I don't get to have any fun at my job so you have fun for the both of us...
