This was the most brilliant chapters and here's why:
I adored your explanation of why Meg chose gray as Patrick's colour, it was thought provoking, intelluctual and beautifully written.
2) This line: "Is being treated for bipolarism...unsuccessfully." very humourous!
3) The whole thing with Pete and Patrick and the sign language and communicating with meg was a little difficult to read but I got where you were coming from. My advice would be to simplify these areas of the story until Patrick finds a way to communicate with Meg. It can be confusing to the reader ( if they have no idea about this area of communication )
4) Meg spilling hot chocolate on Patrick - this was great. lol
5) Love the fact that she is obviously going to have another talent, people with a sense removed often do, they are wonderful people and Mal was right to praise her.
