Any siblings or family?: once had a big brother and a mother. Had an estranged dad who ignored her for his new family.
(Detailed) Back story: She's Mexican American.
Her dad was abusive towards her mother, and her mother soon left him. He started a new family and ignored them.
They lived in a ghetto area, where she learned how to fight and defend herself or get attacked.
Her older brother was very protective, but she would get attacked when he wasn't there.
One day, she came back from school, where she was picked on a lot for being a nerd, to find that BLI was beginning to take over. She went inside her home to find her mother dead, and that her brother had left a note saying that he didn't have enough time to wait, and had to leave.
She left by herself.
She wandered off to a point where she didn't know exactly where she was. The others soon found her and she became a Killjoy.
