I thought you did a nice job connecting Rin to the story. Her disappearance lacks a bit of detail but the Zetsu clone swap was a nice touch. I'm anticipating that we'll hear more of the frantically paced explanation of why Kakashi and Minato closed Rin's case so quicky. Obviously Kakashi and Minato knew Rin was a doppelganger (you would think) so why they put "her" into the ground so quickly leaves much to our imaginations. If they even put "her" into the ground at all...
I like the Kushina piece. I'm all for the twisted carnal love story but I'm also curious where you plan to go with it, and if it will turn into a plot twist few, if any, of us are anticipating.
I also noticed you set up the premise for a future confrontation with the Kiri nin. Her own demons will put her on a collision path with Naruto, but that is too far away to be seen at the moment.
And of course for the immediate future there is Rin's lost memories. I expect that is what the next chapter will touch most on, as well as Mikoto integrating herself with the plans and people of Naruto's group.
