MY BUNNY HUTCH

~wicked cackle~ I love this one and it's clear that Dumbledore and McGonagall have never learned that "it's the quiet ones who are dangerous". I especially enjoyed that it was a joint effort by Harry and Hermione and that they've managed to bug Albus' office, and other places, without getting caught or noticed. There've been a few stories that had both of them sorted into Slytherin ("Not so Muggleborn" by Grenouille7777 comes to mind as well as one that was a crossover with Anita Blake where's he's a were-leopard and she's his best friend from before Hogwarts) but we can always use more. You've got a dangerous combination there of power, brains, and when he receives his inheritance, at least some decent (most likely) sum of money; that can do a lot, especially if employed with proper Slytherin cunning and not the nonsense behavior we're shown in canon.

Author's response

Heya again, Cat!

It’s more that until it’s driven into their heads with a mallet, they’ll continue to ignore the evidence for their preconceptions.
And you’re right. Both would have done well in Slytherin, if there hadn’t been an abundence of narrow-minded bigots there already.

Grenouille’s story was very readable and quite entertaining, though I felt the ending was a bit rushed. Robst, one of my favorite authors, always has them playing with their Slytherin sides…usually to telling effect. A case in point is; ‘In This World And The Next.’ You can find it on Ffn.

There was a story I saw a couple years ago on FFn where Hermione decided on her first train ride to Hoggys; that she was going to be the next dark lord (sic), and Harry and (maybe) Ron were going to be her minions, but I could never find it again. (Le sigh!) I’m (slowly) working up a story along the same premise.
