Review for A THOUSAND YEARS

A THOUSAND YEARS

(#) Teresa 2013-06-15

It's good to see how Harry, Sirius and Remus are rebuilding their family bonds! And soon they'll add Hermione and her parents! Will those bullies at Hermione's school actually learn something from Harry's story (and he should have been up for Best Dramatic Actor for more then one competition) or will they try another nasty little stunt? I'd say that Harry's daughter took after both her parents, he and Hermione would have acted in the same way (and often had) if innocent lives were in danger. Hermione always spoke of Harry's saving people thing but her's was just as strong! Many thanks for another excellent chapter! :)

Hello Teresa!

I love your reviews! So many wonderful insights!

Dumbledore has done so very much damage to practically everybody, in his quest for omniscience, but those three specifically, that I just had to turn some of it around. You’re right. Harry has gained a family that doesn’t despise him, and although Sirius isn’t really healed from his experiences yet, given time, he will be. Don’t forget, Amelia is aware of the situation as well, and, I believe she may make an appearance from time to time…just to check on them. Remus, is much more stable, and with a safe place to transform and people around him, not to mention the medicine that ‘Mione is brewing, he ‘ll live to a ripe old age with many grand-pups around him.

In canon, the Grangers are a blank sheet. I’ve always written them as being intelligent, understanding and oftentimes free-spirited, (although I’ve read some very good stories where they were anything but), and so I have no propblem introducing themto the world of magic.

BAFTA: I think one is OK for the now.

The bullies: Yes, in fact, they will…not specifically from his story per se, but from his silent threat. I believe a strong example is a good beginning for any sort of education, and Harry’s ‘example’ was both strong and frightning, and at the same time, non-invasive. Kids respond to that kind of influence more readily than many people think. (Dr. Spock was WRONG!) As for a possible ‘other nasty stunt’, I will also have Harry training Hermione to defend her self from attack when necessary.

April: How could she not? Given that she was raised by Harry, (Hermione would have been dead by that time) she would have been intelligent, driven and dedicated…even to the cost of her life, if she thought she could make a difference. And you’re right; Hermione was as much a ‘saving people’ person as Harry. (Try saying that three times fast!)

Always a pleasure.
