Review for The Younger Potter Twin

The Younger Potter Twin

I wasn't sure I'd enjoy (as much) a story with Harry a generation removed from his contemporary friends but I quite enjoyed this chapter! To my surprise I guess there's enough about this older generation in canon so as to make them just as interesting. The idea of Harry joining the Maurauders, etc, is very interesting.

Still, will Harry be missing romance in this story? You surely can't pair him up with his mum!!! The genetics should stop him short even if there isn't any emotional or societal reaction against the idea. Plus the whole paradox of wiping himself out of existence. I hope he doesn't overshadow James in Lily's eyes, even by accident.

I remember how, in a previous (Old Believers?) story you had Hermione end up with an older teacher. Who knows, perhaps you'll end up this tale with Harry still watching out for Hermione, although if he's a teacher that would still be a bit evil ... I'll wait and see.

Enjoyable chapter! It would be interesting - maybe even more so - to see a normally-powered Harry in this situation, having to think his way out of conflicts, or rely on the support of his friends - as he has in canon - instead of being able to merely flex his way-beyond-all-others magical might as he can and does do here.

Author's response

Henry John (ie Harry) is not genetically related to Lily in any way. As this is an alternate time line, and the other is intact, Harry would prefer there not be another Harry Potter.
