A THOUSAND YEARS

I never liked Albus, less Lupin, always found him a coward, does not deserve to Tonk.
thanks for the new chapter, Greetings!

Heya makarva.

As I’ve indicated before, Remus was as much the victim of Dumbledore’s plots as Sirius or Harry. When you look at it, Dumbledore had complete control over Remus in canon, and here, I think I’ve given a reasonable idea of how. (Part 15) if Remus was comfortable, he would be of less use as a tool. Just as if Harry were reared in a loving enviornment, he’d be useless as a martyr. Why else would he have kept Remus from seeing Harry as a child? By keeping Remus on such a short leash, by controlling how much or little he earns with laws that actively prohibit any gainful employment, and by continually forcing him to see himself as nothing more than a ravenig monster, Dumbledore has control over him, and canon has shown that if nothing else, Dumbledore just loves being in control.

As for Remus/Tonks, while a ‘cute’ couple, they’re a bit too close to the ‘half your age, plus seven years’ rule, for my tastes. I believe Rowling (or whoever ghosted those last two books) stuffed that in at the very last second. It seems ludicrous that Harry’s last remaining family and the only partially developed adult (as it were) female were killed just after naming him godfather to little Teddy. That Tonks would get pregnant in time of war when there are magical potions and charms for damn near everything, (Contraception, anyone?) That Tonks was involved in the battle at all, is the height of irresponsibility. Her first priority should have been her child. Mine has always been. Every decision I’ve made over the past eighteen years directly considered how that decision would affect my daughter. To me, their deaths were nothing more than a way to make Harry feel even guiltier for not saving them…something she’s pushed heavily throughout the series. I’ve said before, I disagree intensely with many of the decisions in those piles of…typing.
