Review for A THOUSAND YEARS

A THOUSAND YEARS

(#) Wonderbee31 2013-06-25

Got to say that this is another great story here. I hope things have been going well for you these last few years, and I know what it's like to lose someone so close to you. I do like this story a lot, especially the idea of this Harry who has gone back and is trying to make things not only right, but is plowing full ahead and doing it ASAP rather than how so many stories that follow canon almost slavishly, and may I say that it's also my hope that this powerful Harry may have the chance to smack down folk who have not indebted themselves to him this time around, so that some justice will be handed down to them.

Author's response

Heya Wondwerbee!

Glad you’re liking the show. It’s a lot of fun to write…if a bit frustrating.

Firelemming: Can you believe it’s been nearly three years? I still miss her greatly. Marion had the most unusual sense of humour. My daughter has finally gotten over her death, though she’s changed her haircolor far too often to suit me.

Canon: Yeah, I’ve seen too many do-over stories that can be described as ‘formulaic’ at best. This Harry is doing things, as Jamba said in ‘Lilo and Stitch’; “MY WAY!” I have another I’m working on, where Harry does something similar, but set during and after his fourth year. (I started it years ago and sorta set it to the side, so it’s gonna be a bit cliché by the time I post it.)

Smack-down: For the most part, those due a bit of smackin’ are already named. Since the ministry has already been dealt with, Dumbledore Snape and the Deez are my targets of choice. Surprisingly enough, I’m leaving the Weasleys alone.
