If it'll make you feel better, go on ahead. Anyways, its a fairly good story. Not "OMG this is the best story ever!", but if this was a book I'd probably buy it. Since I tend to be overly critical of plot and characterization as well as style, that's a compliment. :) I've become a bit of a bitch in my old age, but, I like you and you know how to pace a story and characterize and you seem to have a good style and nice syntax.
Author's response
I am seventeen. Don't even TALK to me about old age. :)
I was pretty much like, "What if I wrote a story about siblings who hunt monsters? But it would be an alternate universe, so I don't have to worry about real events. And what if it was 1923? And the universe was full of book people that I love?"
So this entire story is basically stupid self-indulgence, but whatever, a few people like it.
BUT KAYLEE FRIGGIN GOD I CANNOT WRITE HER MOST DAYS SHE IS SO PICKY AND I CAN'T GET ANYTHING RIGHT SHE'S A MARY-SUE HALF THE TIME AND A HARPY THE REST OF THE TIME.
And I sort of half to pace the story the way it is because I've shoehorned so much detail in there it is quite literally the only thing to do.
And thank you. So much. Compliments. Are so nice. :D
