man....I just....whew! This was good I enjoyed the hell outta this chapter. It flowed much better than the previous one, and didn't give me that rushed feeling I got from the previous chapter.
About the whole Kurenai thing, honestly the minute you decided that pain wouldn't revive the villagers I just accepted it. It is what it is.
Is it fucked up? yeah. But babies are people too and people die all the time. It happens everyday in real life and every now and again in the manga so i don't see why people are so freaked by it happening here.
What you've done is present the perfect opportunity for her to be broken in the worst way possible but then to be healed by naruto and the others allowing her to come back stronger than ever.
The reviewer BlackRevenant said that they're not really feeling the seriousness and I get where he is coming from, but i'll have to say the opposite.
I feel you've done the right thing with the way you've handled the serious moments in this story so far.
I hate stories that are all angst or drama all the time, but this story from the very beginning had a plot and characters that would inevitably cause conflicts despite it's overall lighthearted nature.
I mean if this story was always lighthearted where naruto bangs everyone all the time but he, the harem, and other important characters have no emotional growth due to actual real life shit that could possibly affect them, aka a pure lemon story with nothing else going for it.
Eventually it would get boring, and actually you probably wouldn't even be able to end it accurately.
It's not like you could have naruto befriend tobi like he does everyone else in anyway that would be even remotely believable, and the same goes for people like madara. they aren't like garra who can be convinced to change his ways, they are fully committed and death or sealing are about the only ways, they will be stopped.
As an example, take one piece which as far as mangas go is wayyyyy up there on the list of lightheartedness and the importance of friendship, and yet they STILL addressed the issue of slavery, countless deaths and brutality inflicted by those in positions of power, and even the loss of loved ones like when nami's and nojiko's foster mother was shot or when ace was killed right in front of luffy after he did everything he could to save him and suffered a mental breakdown immediately afterwards which was also shown in great detail.
Those issues made the story stronger and although there are people who to this day don't like them, it benefited the story far more than it harmed it.
These are the types of situations that create lasting stories that have depth and can hook readers long after the story is finished.
I cant name off the top of my head the title of even one other naruto lemon story I've read, and I've read a few at this point, yet I've never once forgotten this one.
Despite the fact that this story has sex for days, I never hesitate to shout it out when people are looking for amazing naruto stories and thats because of how well you've handled all the areas of development for the story not just the lemon love moments. I really cant even call this just a lemon story because it's so much more than that.
Honestly I've been rereading this story for the past few days allowing to me to revisit things I forgot and look at your growth throughout it and you've grown so much as an author throughout the course of it that I more or less trust your judgement without question when it comes to where you want to take things.
I didn't agree on the way you handled nagato because I believe he is just as much a victim as others so for his end to be the way it was is kind of tragic, but I also understood why you took that route, so I accepted it.
Ultimately I think you've found a pretty decent balance of lighthearted ness, and seriousness when needed. I mean it's literally like what 30+ chapters of lighthearted sex and then the occasional serious fight or emotional content thrown in..who can really complain about that?
As long as your story isn't always death, destruction, loss, and angst I don't really see a problem.
Now on to sasuke.
Thank you. Thats pretty much it, just thank you.
I've lost all hope for the manga with all the fucked up ass backwards decisions that keep coming out of nowhere that Kishimoto keeps pulling out of his ass but his decisions concerning sasuke really kill it for me....that and the crazy amount of uber hacks and powerups the sharingan has received throughout the series. They should just be called the ultra mega uber god mode eyes of death, resurrection, destruction, manipulation, and reality warping at this point.
If you would've asked me at the end of part one or the beginning of part two if sasuke could be redeemed I would've said yeah sure, he's still an ass but sure. Now though, at this point in the series FUCK NO!
Yet even with all the shit he has done, kishi still keeps trying so hard.
So for you to actually take a realistic portrayal of what should happen instead of this bring him back from the darkness because we're besties, at the expense of everyone else kingdom hearts shit makes me happy. You can not save someone who doesn't want to be saved.
For all the epicness that the naruto manga represented since it's early days in 97, this last year has been a clusterfuck of failure with occasional awesome moments and I kinda just hope the story ends soon because I've lost most of my love for it.
There were other minor things that I wanted to address but since this is getting longer than I intended, i'll save them for next time.
As always great chapter, and looking forward to the next one.
