I agree with Poppana. There's always state of opinion, but there's a way to go about saying it.
Some things are better left unsaid, too.
Not everyone's stuff are gonna be catered for you to read, and I think it was a bit rude to call it 'cliche'. How do you think Christy feels, reading that? I imagine she's hurt, because I would be too, thinking that a story I wrote is terrible or "cliche"
You can say these things, okay? But try to be more polite.
Just because you say "No offense or anything" doesn't make what you say polite. If that were the logic, I could say, "You're a fucking whore, no offense or anything" to just about everyone.
Constructive criticism is used to improve someone's writing, correct? It's not used, then, to cater it to your standards. It's not used to dictate what plots can and cannot be written according to your standards.
The plot is not as cliche as you think. Just because you wrote a bunch of self insert suicide/depression stories doesn't mean the whole entire site has. I mean, I have but it didn't end in suicide.
Anyways, I'm done here. Take my advice or leave it, I'm just not interested in starting any arguments. I've never been in a FicWad one before, and today is not my day.
