I keep hoping for more of this story. It's built nicely so far and I'm looking to hear Lavendar's story and see just what Harryd decides to do about; he's old enough to be out of his "Don Quixote" phase but not so far that he wouldn't be willing to take on a lot to set things straight.
Too, the end of this chapter left me with a feeling that I should be hearing a scene break them from the "Dragnet" tv show, either the first one or the remake (and the first one, from the fifties, was considerably grittier).
