@Alorkin: I disagree with you about the depiction of Goblins in DH, I think they are still as aloof and honourable as before, Griphook is just a greedy, self-serving little bastard with less honour in his little finger than an innocent child has in it's entire body!! EVIL GRIN

Time travel fics are one of my favorite genres, because if you are careful, you can pull off damn near anything.
My assertion about the goblins, was made from the interaction before Book Sux part II, came out. They were surly and rude, but competent and efficient, and seemed to be a warrior type of people. Interestingly enough, Rowling’s depiction of the Goblins in DH, was developed by a fan author shortly after OotP came out. This is one of the reasons that I believe she ghosted the final two books.
