Review for A THOUSAND YEARS

A THOUSAND YEARS

Hey, great story and chapter. The reason I haven't reviewed till now is usually I don't like to review unless there is something to actually say that is interesting.

That being said, I do have a question for you.

In many HP FanFics I have seen the Goblins remove the soul fragment from Harry, as well as here the Killing Curse described as 'separating ones soul from the body'. What I want to know is; would it be feasible for the Goblins to engineer some sort of reversal of that process? So instead of pulling souls out, they force them in or force them to stay. If they do this, and then make it portable like a pendant or something, then they may have invented a full immunization of the Killing Curse.

Please let me know your thoughts on the matter.

Heya doubledamn.

I’m glad you liked the ride. Don’t worry about the reviews. I usually get one for every hundred people who look at the story. Only the very best FF authors get a higher percentage.

Your question…deserves a reserved ‘yes’, but brings up several problems.

1) Should the Ministry ever discover the goblins have such knowledge, they would instantly begin clamouring for war. Remember the bigotry in the Ministry. They wouldn’t want the goblins to have anything that could be turned into what amounts to a weapon of selective mass destruction.

2) The Death Eaters would be doing the same, given that the killing curse is one of their favorite weapons. Voldemort especially would see to it that the goblins were wiped out.

3) Then, there are all the worthless knock-offs that would crop up. If one of them was used and failed, guess who’d get the blame.

4) After that, if other ministries got wind of this development, war would again follow. “Can’t have those other people having what we don’t, y’know.”

As I indicated, while a good idea, I’m not sure it could be made to work. On the other hand, this is an interesting plot twist for your very first fanfic.
