Between Regulus Sr's lack of knowledge about traditions and customs and wild magic from Junior, it could be one hell of a night ^^
I had a thought (yeah, happens sometimes :D). You told us about the excuse he gives about his family (dead parents, runaway brother) but never mentioned anything about friends. Surely a young man would keep in contact with his childhood friends, even if distantly. And he'd invite them to his wedding! Lorraine is bound to have wondered at some point...
A simple well-placed sentence would help with this detail.
Still, this is only a detail and your story is great! I want more!

Ahh! You're right, I should have noted that XD I'll fix that :) And to answer your question.... In the oneshot, Reggie is only four, so it's not entirely clear yet if he'd be magical or a squib ;) I will provide a link below once I get that posted.
