Like another reviewer, I remember this story from long back ... I had hopes that this repost would have continued the story ...
Responding to mgenna, it might be argued that the males were nutted after repeat offences and warnings, unlike Cho who (so far I remember reading) has stopped after the first warning. That said, H is frequently described by the characters as protecting women and children, so you probably have the right of it.
I agree that the lemons have gone too far, for me anyway. By about the 3rd omnibus chapter of this posting, I find myself scrolling past them. Lemon warnings bracketing those sections would make that easier.
The story itself I find compelling ... the idea of pulling squibs together and revolutionizing magic is interesting and I've seen it in only a few other stories. I'm interested to see this developed further.
