great chapter! i really like the way you portray gerard. usually he's either a drunk, cocky jerk or the other extreme, a shy awkward introvert. i love that in this, he's just a regular guy in a way. it was cool that he was the flirtier of the two without being a egoistic scumbag. it all felt very realistic..
