I noticed that you started with "Chapter 7" and I assume that the first six chapters are the ones you found revolting. Good decision to omit them, then.
Great twist on the "Final Battle" bit. So many authors either cop out or fall on their own swords when they reach this part. Your ending was brilliant and believable, as was your "epilogue".
