While I'm finding reading this quite enjoyable I can't help feeling like I've read it before. Though, so far at least, I don't remember any of it. It's just this really strange feeling that I have read it before. Anyways, I thought the idea of leaving Slimmer behind as a calling card was great. Of course had Harry left two instead it could've really sacred them shitless. Just think, Slimmer inside and Hedwig floating around outside. You do realize that if the ol' brainless wonder blunder learned about either one he'd be very disappointed in Harry for it. On the other hand, the twins would likely fall down laughing after learning what Harry used Slimmer for. God only knows how Hermione or Ron would react! James and Sirius are likely up in Heaven rolling around on the floor laughing at it also. I can't even guess how Lily's reacting! There's not much consistency about her in fanfiction.
