Thank you for the story. The abuse of Harry seems so obvious for those who are fans and fanfic readers that it seems shocking how JKR just glosses over the reality of the abuse, almost like it was never real and has no lasting impact once Harry reaches Hogwarts, which obviously cannot be true. Also, Dumbledore cannot be anything but a senile fool or the blackest of manipulative villains; portraying him as a reluctant pacifist focused on public good ignores the fact that someone who would allow, or sacrifice, innocents isn’t qualified to make such choices. The whole Snape protected by Dumbledore makes it even worse, if such a thing is possible,
