Oh my goodness, I haven't stopped by this piece before, and was muchly deprived. The poetry and rhythm of your writing is exquisite. You took the tiniest details of a mere game map and turned it into art, speculating on why and how, weaving together that strange forest and ice into something coherent. The ending is a subtle surprise, revealing the "who" in an understated manner. Perfect. I will never look at that character the same way again. That's what fanfic is for.

Macalenia Woods was probably my favorite locale in the entire game (minus, of course, the frustration of chasing down butterflies), and I've always wondered about the Fayth. Glad you liked it!
