Firstly I should declare an interest - I don't like Songfics, especially when the song take up more room than the narrative. That aside, this is a fairly well-written emotive piece.
What could have been done to make it better would have been to try to make it less generic. Beyond the description of the characters involved, we needed something uniquely /Hermione/, perhaps her trying to find solace in a book of philosophy or trying to find some kind of magic in a book that could delete her emotional attachment to Ron without her memories of him. As it is, you could change the names and put it in any fandom that you like.
A valiant effort but, in truth, not really standing out from he crowd.

I know it isn't the best, and I don't quiet like songfics that well, either, but I thought I'd give it a try, and I'm proud of myself for that.
