Fairly good chapter. I liked your Snape, as he's just logical enough to make sense, while still being horribly biased.
I very rarely like a Ron/Hermione pairing, but keep things going slowly, I just might start to. A nasty convention with that pairing is to have the two of them constantly present a united front against Harry in an argument. I hope you keep them separate enough to express themselves.
