Echoes of Power, Part I: Anger

This chapter was terrific. Worth the wait. I really like the way you write Tonks. She and Remus are great together. I also have to say, I really enjoy your action sequences. They seem to be plotted out carefully. Makes great reading. Everything comes out smoothly. I also like the way you insert the physical fighting too. Now a question I've been wondering about. Do you practice martial arts?

I saw the teaser in SIYE, but I jumped ahead hoping to catch this here. Also, since I have a rather ancient computer, easier reading

Author's response

I'm glad you're enjoying things. You weren't standing on that rug by any chance, were you? I'm quite surprised all the late-comers didn't wonder at Filch's seemingly odd behavior with Harry. He should have hated him down to his boots, but instead he loved him silly ... well, not literally, thankfully. I spent years and years practicing martial arts. Unfortunately, Real Life got in the way about .. err .. 7-8 years ago now, and I had to give it up for a while. I'm looking forward to resuming my training again this coming summer. There's nothing quite like it once you get past the basics of the first few years, assuming you're training with the right kinds of people.
