I have problems with the reality disconect in this story. When Dumbles says "We failed to do our duty and you are stuck with the problems. I hope you can forgive us all." I keep remembering the prologue.
This makes Dumbles, McGonagall, Snape ( redundant), and Lupin, as well as the "members of the order", lying two faced betraying hypocrites.
When the kids find out the truth, I expect to see blood on the ground. Body parts. Body bags, even.
The sense of betrayal from someone who would do a thing like this and then act like they care about you is...
I frankly would like to see Dumbles in Azkaban. Along with some other people.
