If it wasn't also very much an issue in canon, I'd question why seemingly intelligent people (like Madam Bones) would allow an acknowledged violent person with a grudge against a student (in this case Shacklebolt)teach in a school. Alas, that situation can hardly be called unusual in any Potterverse.
