The best chapter of all, IMO. This shows that Kyouya's life and actions, to some degree, are false and he's beginning to wonder where he really stands. It's almost heartbreaking that he knows Haruhi will probably never think of him the same way. You've made me like them together, because while Tamaki is naturally flirtacious and romantic, I think it would be difficult for Kyouya to accept feelings like that as fitting into his careful routine.
This was a very enjoyable and insightful story to read. You made me like both Kyouya's and Haruhi's characters a lot more than I did previously. Now I need to go read the sequel...
Author's response
Y'know, I've never had a reader leave individual reviews for each chapter of a story before, but you totally made my week by doing so! Though I wasn't able to respond from work, it was a huge kick, getting all the email notifications. Like getting flowers delivered to my desk, or something. Thank you for the nice surprise! And I loved reading what caught your attention in each section, and the impressions you took from it. It's important, from my side of the keyboard, to get that level of feedback. It gives me a level of insight I would not have otherwise, about how the story really works for you, and I'm able to learn a great deal from that. Thanks again. I very much appreciate the time you spent, and your attention to detail in these reviews. And the fact that this story helped you enjoy the characters more just thrills me all to bits; hopefully it means that my own affection for them has been well communicated.
