I was feeling sorry for Joe about the ending of the previous chapter. And you picked up on that in this chapter so I don't have to hold a grudge against Meg for putting him in a position like this.
Oh well... this is what gives characters the touch of real people. And it all makes sense.
The way her father's words still get to her, despite all the anger and the wish to embarass him - it intrigues me.
