aww sniffle how sad it is to bring the news of the death of a loved one. :( I love how Arathorn compares the young boy to thinking of his own family alone. At least he could count on Elrond's family to care for his son when his own time came for death. This poor boy doesn't have that, yet he will let his strength from his love of his father burn hot and keep him going I'm certain. :)
